This course is designed for development of cross-language skills through studies of realities encountered in the English language and the culture of English-speaking countries. These studies enable the students to review stereotypes, understand the dinamics of perseption of realities and develop the ability to detect and comprehend them.
Class studies (2 hours). Detecting and comprehending realities in translation and cross-language communications. Transition from the illusion of understanding to comprehension of realities.
Workshops (14 hours). Analysis of stereotypes and realities in the language and culture of English-speaking countries. Multi-layer comprehension of the dicourse.
