How many translators will work on my text?

Ideally there will be a single translator (not counting the editor), which would ensure best terminological/lexical consistency and simplify quality control.

What quality standards are established and used in translation industry?

Efforts have been repeatedly applied to develop and implement translation quality standards. The most significant among these are:

  • European Union Standard prEN-15038
  • Society of Automotive Engeneers standard SAE J2450
  • ASTM F2575 – 06, Standard Guide for Quality Assurance in Translation

What is terminological and lexical consistency?

Terminological consistency means consistent use of terms within a text and across relevant texts. For example, term pin can mean штифт, палец, булавку, шплинт and a lot more.
