How many translators will work on my text?
Ideally there will be a single translator (not counting the editor), which would ensure best terminological/lexical consistency and simplify quality control.
However, in reality it may not be possible in many cases, firstly – due to the tough deadline. For that reason most often a group of translators works on the text. At Language Interface we ensure quality through the following measures:
There are no strangers in the team, all translators in the workgroup are the permanent members of our team
Quality assurance are applied at all steps of the process – when getting prepared for translation, in the course of translators’ work, at the final QC
Terminological consistency is achieved through close cooperation between all individuals involved in the process and use of distributed lexical resources
Regardless of the number of process members a single individual – the translation editor – is responsible for the outcome.
